This May, following the successful Sail2Ski pilot trip, Ben flew to Key West to join the good ship, ISBJORN, for an offshore passage to Bermuda.  He was mate aboard the S&S Swan 48 with Matt Rutherford at the helm.  It was an awesome experience sailing with Matt, who is the only person to have single-handed, non-stop around the Americas…in a 26ft Albin-Vega.

ISBJORN belongs to the offshore passage-making charter company, 59-North.  This is Ben’s second passage with them.  Last year saw him across the North Sea from Sweden to Scotland, and in November he’ll be aboard as Mate, once again, for the 1800 mile passage from Annapolis to BVI.
