We are proud to enter our fifth year as business members of 1% for the Planet. This means we give 1% of our gross annual earnings to environmental initiatives. Our focus over the last five years has been to find organizations working to sustain and improve the environmental health of our local waters, specifically Puget Sound.

Through this endeavor, and Captain Ben’s love of bull kelp, we found our way to Puget Sound Restoration Fund. In their words, Puget Sound Restoration Fund designs, tests and spearheads in-water actions to restore Puget Sound’s marine habitats, species, and waters – for people and place.

They are an amazing organization with a propensity for doing! In addition to monetary giving, Ben has been volunteering his time and our little dive boat, TOKI, helping with a bull kelp out-plant experiment at Blakely Rock.

We are very inspired by the work the organization is doing, and has been doing for decades. We are thrilled to get in where we fit in and lend a hand!
