Kingdom of Kelp: Can tending kelp gardens restore a keystone species to the Salish Sea?
You might not be aware that when Captain Ben isn’t out sailing, he’s nerding out on Bull Kelp – that beautiful bull-whip-like brown algae that you mostly see when it’s washed up on the beaches. Well, he’s been working with Puget Sound Restoration Fund on a really cool kelp restoration project at Blakely Rock, right here off the shores of Bainbridge Island.
