My daughter, Aria, will be joining me as crew for her third season running. She is an inspiringly capable young mariner, a great hang, and a hard worker. I just love having her aboard and she loves getting to engage with so many people while sharing her love of sailing. Her exciting news is that she turns 16 in June — she can now log her sea service time towards a future USCG captain license. Exciting times. She’ll need to log 360 from the age of 16 before she can sit the test. It’ll be a couple years, but she’s off to a roaring start.
